Most people focus on concaves, jaw plates, and blow bars. The crusher pulley is rarely mentioned. But when the pulley fails, the whole crushing line stops. No power transmission means no crushing. At ONA, we manufacture high-quality crusher pulleys. Here’s what you need to know. A crusher pulley mounts on the input shaft. The motor drives it through V‑belts, and it transfers rotational power to the eccentric shaft or the countershaft. Without a pulley, there is no power. Without power, there is no crushing.
Why the Pulley Matters More Than You Think?
First link in the drive chain – A poor pulley causes vibration, misalignment, and belt damage.
Dynamic balance requirement – An unbalanced pulley shakes the entire crusher, wearing bearings and loosening bolts.
Belt and bearing protection – Worn grooves destroy belts quickly; misalignment overloads bearings.

Simple Maintenance Tips for Longer Pulley Life
Inspect groove wear every 500 hours. Replace the pulley if side wear exceeds 1 mm.
Tighten taper lock bolts to the specified torque using a torque wrench.
Align the pulley with the motor sheave using a straight edge or laser alignment tool.
Listen for unusual wobble or clicking sounds during operation.
Replace the pulley immediately if any crack is found.
The crusher pulley is a precision power transmission component. When it works well, you don’t notice it. When it fails, your production stops. ONA supplies durable, precision‑balanced pulleys for jaw and cone crushers – in stock or custom‑made. Keep your crusher running.
