1Product Overview
The oil flinger is made of alloy steel and is installed on the countershaft, at the pulley end, with an interference fit. Its function is to prevent the lubricating oil from leaking out of the shaft.
The main function of the oil flinger is to ensure internal lubrication and reduce wear in the engine. Specifically, during its downward movement, the oil flinger scrapes excess oil from the cylinder wall, preventing it from entering the combustion chamber and participating in combustion, thereby avoiding oil waste and reduced combustion efficiency. During its upward movement, the oil flinger applies a uniform film of oil to the cylinder wall, reducing wear on the piston, piston rings, and cylinder, thereby extending the engine's service life.
The design and type of oil flinger also affect its effectiveness. Oil flinger are typically made of alloy steel, with a groove cut into the center of their outer surface and numerous small holes or slits at the bottom to ensure lubrication and prevent leaks. Combination oil rings, on the other hand, consist of upper and lower scrapers and backing springs that generate radial and axial forces. This design enhances the oil scraping action and allows for more effective control of lubricant usage.
When the shaft of the crusher rotates, the oil flinger rotates with it, and its lower half is immersed in the lubricating oil. The oil is brought up and splashed around the bearing shell by dragging force, and the lubricating oil is circulated inside the crusher by centrifugal force. At the same time, the excess oil is thrown back to the oil tank to prevent the lubricating oil from leaking.
It is mainly suitable for various types of cone crushers and other mining crushing equipment, such as HP100, HP200, HP300 and other series cone crushers.
Installation and maintenance
• Installation: Before installation, ensure that the surface of the shaft and the oil flinger is clean, free of oil stains, impurities, etc. Put the oil flinger on the shaft smoothly, and pay attention to align it with the groove on the bearing to prevent axial movement.
• Maintenance: Check the wear of the oil flinger regularly. If it is found to be severely worn or damaged, it should be replaced in time. At the same time, keep the lubricating oil clean and sufficient, and replace the lubricating oil regularly to ensure the normal operation of the oil flinger.
